Why Scuba Diving?
When Jaques Cousteau invented the “Aqualung” self contained underwater breathing apparatus in 1943 he was looking for a way to stay underwater longer and reveal previously unreachable sights to the world. That invention, a smaller open circuit demand valve regulator as opposed to the large and cumbersome surface supplied helmet other working and military divers wore at the time, allowed normal people their first chance at diving. Recreational SCUBA Diving as we know it has been around since the 1950’s. Since then, the sport has only grown. It still calls to those of us who want to go where very few others have gone, see things 95% of the world will never see, and those of us who just love being on, in and around the water.
Our philosophy of diving is that it’s a sport that can be enjoyed in 100 different ways by 100 different people. There’s so much to do and see once you take that first plunge. Whether you want to explore shipwrecks, take pictures of gorgeous reef fish, bring home supper with a spear in hand, experience the amazing architecture of a coral reef, enjoy a healthy adventure with a family member, or find a new career, there’s something for you to do on SCUBA. Whatever your passion, adding water can only help it grow.
Our number one priority throughout your training and experience with us is your safety. At the end of the day, this is an extreme sport, and we take it extremely seriously. RAD Divers and Dive Instructors use top of the line life support equipment for this reason. We follow industry safety measures to the letter. We don’t cut corners. The standard is the starting line.
Red Alert Diving was built by people who love their community and the Scuba Industry. Our mission statement is “Only The Best” in Training, Travel, Adventure and Equipment. Come join our family and start your adventure today with that goal in mind.
